Tamil Nadu has released the official half-yearly exam dates for 2025–26. All Classes 1 to 12 will have their exams in December 2025.
Classes 10 and 12 will write their exams from 10–23 December in the morning, while Class 11 will follow the same dates in the afternoon.
Classes 5/6 to 9 will have exams from 15–23 December, with morning or afternoon sessions based on the grade. Classes 1 to 4 will also write their exams between 10–23 December, as per each school’s timetable.

Starting from the 2025–26 academic year, the Tamil Nadu government has canceled the public board examinations for Class 11 (Plus One) under the new State Education Policy (SEP).
